'Planting In The Playground' Gives £500 to HGA
HGA has been awarded £500 by the Planting in the Playground initiative to buy gardening equipment.
The funding will be used to buy equipment such as planters, soil, gardening tools, gardening guidebooks, bulbs and seeds, as part of HGA’s commitment to ‘take learning to the garden’.
This will integrate learning in the garden for all key stages to support and enhance their understanding. The garden space will provide many other benefits for students too, with the opportunity to make vital links to their green space and become advocates for community involvement in gardening activities.
Planting in the Playground is a partnership between The Jack Petchey Foundation and The London Children’s Flower Society to give schools across London with no or very little gardening area the chance to build a garden space.
