The Final Push - Year 11 Get Ready To Fulfil Their Potential
We are incredibly proud of the effort our Year 11 students have been putting in, to be ready for their summer exams and fulfil their potential.
Attendance at our intervention sessions has been outstanding, with some students getting themselves into school for every extra intervention provided for them. We are sure that this hard work and dedication will be rewarded in the summer!
After-school invention has included a bespoke programme, with students invited to attend sessions in areas that would benefit them most.
For the past few months, every single student has also been invited to school on a Saturday morning, 9am to 12pm. A range of different subjects have been on offer, providing time for students to complete coursework in certain subjects and prepare for upcoming exams in others.
During both the Easter break and May Half Term, sessions have again been provided for students to ensure they are given extra support in the areas they need it most.
I want to take this opportunity to share how incredibly proud I am personally of this Year 11 cohort. The past couple of years have been a struggle for many of us, but perhaps even more so for this year group. They are the first year group to take formal examinations since 2019 and have had to catch up on all the learning that was missed throughout the pandemic.
I am looking forward to results day, to see them reap the rewards for the effort they have put in and wish them all, lots of luck in the future. It has been an absolute pleasure getting to know them all over the past couple of years.
