Meet Our Scholars Programme Graduates

HGA students have been improving their skills, taking on challenges, and participating in virtual events throughout this year.

Students in Year 8, 9 & 10 participated in the Scholars Programme, learning about a wide array of subjects. The programme is part of the Brilliant Club in which the students participate in university-style tutorials with a PhD student lecturer.

Year 8 and 9 students studied portraiture in art, examining whether it is possible to capture a subject’s personality in a painted portrait. Year 9 and 10 students studied the biopsychosocial model of mental health and examined the nature versus nurture debate.

The students also had the opportunity to participate in virtual tours of the University of Sussex and chat with students and staff about life at university.
