Careers Fair Helps Students Take Control of Their Futures
Thank you to all the fantastic professionals for joining us at our Careers Fair 2019. The event was all about helping years 5-13 think ahead and take their futures into their own hands.
We had over 30 speakers attend the event from many different industries, including: Music, Performing Arts, Business, Childcare, Engineering and Writing.
Different workshops were also put on for our pupils by the Department for Work and Pensions, The Army, Army Cadets, Ernest & Young and the National Citizen Service.
North Kent College, Newcastle University, Portsmouth University and Coventry University also helped at the event, inspiring pupils with their Post 16 and Higher Education opportunities.
We asked the students to complete an evaluation form afterwards. Here's what they told us.
- 49% of our pupils stated that they knew nothing about their future career path before attending the fair
- 85% of our pupils stated that the fair helped them choose career options for them
- 97% of attendees stated that they would recommend the event to next year’s cohort
Thank you to all the external speakers and pupils who attended, and we will see you next year!
