Year 7 Launch Wellbeing & Edible Garden
In October, Year 7 launched the Wellbeing & Edible Garden with support from TCBS Community Gardeners during a day of events designed to highlight the physical and mental health benefits of green space and gardening.
The garden has been awarded funds and equipment from Making Space for Nature, Jack Petchey Planting in the Playground, and Local Nature Grants for Schools.
Peabody's Environmental Services Team also came along to lend a big hand and help prepare our grounds for the planting activities.
Also in October, Year 8 participated in the annual outdoor education sessions on local ecosystems exploring habitats and ecosystems on our grounds here at HGA and in the community at the Tump 53 nature classroom.
They also visited artists who are exploring nature through art at the Lakeside Bow Art Studios.
