Students at Harris Garrard Academy Celebrate GCSE Success
Students at Harris Garrard Academy are today celebrating their GCSE results with a strong performance across the board.
Amongst those celebrating were:
- Jael (pictured below), who achieved three of the ‘super’ grade 9s (equivalent to an A**) in Science, English Literature and Geography, three grade 8s (equivalent to an A*), two grade 7s (equivalent to an A), a Distinction* and a Distinction;
- Arturs, who achieved two grade 9s in Biology and Chemistry, four grade 8s, 3 grade 7s and a Distinction*;
- Mannha, who achieved one grade 9 in English Literature, 3 grade 8s, four grade 7s, one grade 6 and a Distinction*.
“We are very pleased with today’s results which come on top of last week’s very strong A Levels," said Steve West, Head of Academy. "I am particularly pleased for this cohort of students as they have endured the challenges of the pandemic with determination, optimism and good humour. So I share their happiness today as they see for themselves how much they have achieved.”
