Sixth Form Exam Success for Harris Garrard Academy Students
Students at Harris Garrard Academy are today celebrating their exam results.
Those celebrating include:
- Christine who achieved an B in Business, B in Psychology and a C in Economics and will take up a place to read International Business.
- Elliott who achieved a B in Psychology, B in English Literature and a C in History and will take up a place to read English Literature.
- Daniella who achieved a B in Psychology, B in English Literature and a Distinction* in Vocational Child Development and will take up a place at University of Northampton to read Psychology – Developmental and Educational Psychology.
- Samantha who achieved a Distinction* in Sport, and a double Distinction in Business diploma and will take up a place at University of Brighton to read Physical Education Teaching with Qualified Teacher Status.
Sixth formers are accepting places at top universities and taking up offers of apprenticeships and employment.
Mr Steve West, Head of the Academy said: “I would like to congratulate all our students on their success today. They have worked particularly hard to achieve these results and deserve to be celebrating their grades.
“We are very pleased by the mix of vocational and academic qualifications that our students are receiving; these set them up very well for their adult lives and the workplace.
“The popularity of subjects such as Psychology for degree courses demonstrates the broad interests and experiences of our students and their confidence to study subjects at university that combine both humanities and science."
