Tate Visit For Year 10 GCSE Art Students
Our Year 10 GCSE Art students were on the move with Mr Kearey on Thursday the 19th of March to see two exhibitions at London’s Tate Modern galleries.
The weather was glorious and our students were intrigued by much of the contemporary art on show. Paintings by Roy Lichtenstein and James Rosenquist, and the magnificent Cildo Meireles' Babel, a tower made of old radios, certainly captured our students’ imagination.
The students were also impressed by Sir Anthony Gormley’s standing sculptures (pictured) which were the first works we encountered, and then later by a chance encounter with our very own Sir Dan Moynihan at London Bridge Station. What a grand day out!
