Head Student Daniella Welcomes Year 12
Welcome Year 12! Head student, Daniella, introduces herself and her vision for the 6th form.
A welcome from Daniella – Head Student
On behalf of the academy, I would like to welcome you all - parents, prospective students and members of the Harris Garrard community. I am Daniella and I am the Head Student of the academy. I am studying for A Levels in Psychology, English and Childcare and aspire to study Psychology in Education at a Russell Group university. I believe that being in the academy from primary school has truly shaped my hardworking, diligent character.
My role in the academy is essentially to unite the student body to play an active role not only in the school but in the wider community. I admire how true the school’s mantra of Learning Changes Lives is as we provide students with all the resources necessary to guarantee their academic success regardless of background.

My vision as Head Student is to provide everyone with support and wide learning opportunities, so every student has the best chance of leading a happy and successful life and can embody our belief that Learning Changes Lives.
The strong sense of community and unity is prominent throughout the academy not only for staff and students but for the whole Harris Garrard community and is something that has a massive impact on everyone’s life.
Safe spaces are made available to every student through various schemes, clubs and events within the academy. Our ever-growing student leadership team strives to be the voice of the student body and celebrate the ideas and voice of every individual within the community.
Finally, I would like to express how proud I am to be part of this academy and highlight that education is the master key to success. However, this isn’t possible without the help of your community, demonstrating that Learning Changes Lives because We Row Together.
