Bedrock Vocabulary Challenge - Who Has Top Spot?
Nestorian and Jaskaran, both Year 8, are vying for top spot in our Bedrock Vocabulary challenge, each having accrued almost 5000 Bedrock points this academic year.
Bola, Year 10, has completed a staggering 331 lessons this year, while Jack, Year 9, has made an average improvement of 577%.
Each week, our students complete two lessons online using Bedrock Vocabulary in a bid to expand their vocabulary and learn new words to use both inside and outside of lessons.
Each week we award Amazon vouchers to Key Stage 3 students who complete the most lessons, while Bedrock also offer prizes such as tuition places, vouchers and even laptops!
Whilst the two weekly lessons are an seen as a minimum expectation, some students go above and beyond as they look to improve their lexical capacity.
In addition, both Mr. Habing and Mr. Rayner’s tutor groups have won a half-termly Bedrock Breakfast. Tutor groups that have completed the most lessons enjoy croissants, chocolate pastries and a selection of juices delivered to their tutor rooms to celebrate their success!
