Easter Winners - See the Winners of Mr Smith's First Prize Challenge
Every fortnight Mr Smith is setting all students a prize challenge. Here are the winners from our first challenge: to use your imagination and creativity to produce something artistic on the theme of Easter. Well done to all our entrants and winners!
Year 3 - Sebastian (Picasso Class)
Look at Sebastian's super-colourful egg!
Year 4 - Lillian (Renoir Class)
Lillian made some traditional Hungarian dyed eggs - with pictures to show all the steps!
Year 6 - Matilda
Matilda wrote this lovely poem, which she called 'The Great Truth of Easter'.
Now eggs and bunnies are near,
Let me tell you the reason of this great cheer
Once an egg is hatched you see,
A chick is what represents new life
For you and me.
Jesus died and was buried three days,
And on Easter morning he was raised.
This shows that when we die , we can get to live again,
Jesus gives new life to all of God’s children
Remember bunnies are part of Easter too,
They’re born in the spring when all is new
So as you gather you’re treats and have fun
Let them remind you of all God had done!
Year 7 - Jasahanpreet
Jashanpreet says: "I decided to do the challenge to make a papier mâché egg and I also decorated it a lot. I also decorated an old shoe box so It could look like and Easter egg package." Great work, Jashanpreet!
Year 8 - Ecaterina
What a beautiful and creative Easter bonnet!
Year 9 - Toby
This cute egg is most certainly a worthy winner!
