Students Elect Their Own Leaders
Students elected their own leadership team this term in a secret ballot. Any student could stand for election and explain to the whole school during special assemblies why pupils should vote for them.
“I wanted to stand for election because I felt the school was still going through the development phase and it was a chance to help contribute to the changes,” said Nikolas, Year 13, who was elected head boy.

Bhavini, Year 13, who was elected head girl, said she wanted a chance to put her ideas for the school into action. “My idea was to increase exposure to the workplace,” she said. “If people have something to work towards they feel more motivated."
The student leadership team, which includes a representative from each hub as well as the head boy and girl, meets regularly to discuss what they would like to happen and then relay their views to Mr Smith, Head of Academy.
