You Wouldn't Make an Umbrella Out of Paper
Year 2 have been learning about toys and different materials. On Monday they travelled to London to participate in a fascinating workshop and exhibition at the Science Museum.
Whilst at the museum the children were able to experiment with the use of lots of materials in a sensory garden – this was an exciting hands-on gallery that invited the children to investigate science in technology.
Students also went to see the Challenge of Materials exhibition which explained the properties of materials and why objects are made from certain materials. You wouldn’t make an umbrella out of paper would you?
As well as all of this incredible learning, year 2 were able to explore and select materials – based on their properties – to create their very own puppet show (below).
