Third Best Year 6 Cricket Team in Kent

Our Year 6 cricket team performed fantastically in a schools competition yesterday and has been named the third best Year 6 team in the whole of Kent.

They narrowly missing out on qualifying for the London Youth Games and have returned to school today with their heads held high.

Cricket

After only five weeks of cricket coaching (and after originally thinking "cricket was like baseball") our children have demonstrated that high expectations, excellent coaching and perseverance can bring fantastic results. To begin with some students even thought that cricket might be 'a bit boring', but now our incredible team loves the sport!

At HGA we are committed to providing our students with opportunities which will broaden their horizons. One member of our team has already been scouted for the Bexley borough team! Who knows, we might have a future England or county player in our academy.

A big thanks to the staff who have dedicated lunchtimes and after school hours to help develop this team. And a huge well done to our students and their parents for their unwavering support.
