Why Students Love Lunchtime Art Club
Our popular Art Club runs every day at lunchtime and after school Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays too.
It's a chance for students to catch-up on work, do homework, use the Apple Mac suite to research, receive practical support with their work and also to use different art materials. "It's for all students who want to spend more time on their artwork and also enjoy being in the company of other artists in a relaxed working atmosphere," says David Rose, Learning Director/Modern Arts.
"Relaxing and calm"
Students love it too. “I come to Art Club because I like to do my art more than once in a day and I like to have completed work," says Lilly-Mae. "It gives me extra help and support for my GCSE.”
Daisy likes going because "it’s a very calm place. Mr Rose gives me a lot of support to help me with improving my GCSE work.”
Jelizaveta agrees: “I really like going to Art Club at lunchtimes to finish my work. It is really relaxing and calm and helps me concentrate on my work. I think it is a good idea for students that want to spend more time on their work”.
