Earth Summit Sustainable Fashion Show 2024

Bexley Waste Management Team and Cory Riverside Energy partnered with LSEC to support students from HGA in the production of  a sustainable fashion show at The Nest in Cygnet Square on the 27th of November 2024

Students worked with professionals from food, fashion, music and media to produce a runway fashion show highlighting the perils of fast fashion to our environment.

Students particpated in  activities focussed on upcycling fashion items and accessories, creating music from reused drums and design of music, learned how to make canapes with a focus on zero waste, and created a social media campaign with presentations on the cost of fast fasion and personal  interviews using  different media and  technology.

It was a fabulous day for the students who did brilliant job of bringing this concept to life.  

The fashion show highlighted the perils of fast fashion to our environment.
