HGA Wins Woodland Trust Gold Award

Gold awardWe are delighted to have been awarded the Woodland Trust Green Tree Schools Award – GOLD.

This is a testament to how we look after and interact with our local environment through our science programme of study, Forest School lessons, Nature Nurture sessions and outdoor learning days.

Over several years, we have nurtured our environment by planting trees and maintaining a diverse array of habitats. Children are able to identify different flora and fauna found within the woods, kitchen garden, fields and wildflower meadows.

We have studied these habitats across the seasons and looked at them from different perspectives. We are committed to ensuring that this generation of students understands the importance the environment has on maintaining healthy lifestyles and that children have a secure knowledge and awareness of how to protect the environment for the future.
