Industrial Cadets Complete their Bronze Challenge

We want to offer a massive congratulations to the Year 9 students who have recently completed their Industrial Cadets Bronze Challenge.

Two teams competed this year with sponsorship from Cory Riverside Energy – Team Green Guardians and Team Zero Waste. Both teams used the challenge to target real issues at school.

Team Zero Waste gathered data about the frequency, type, and amount of litter at school and are planning to work with the school's Eco-Council to launch a recycling campaign to raise awareness and promote zero waste.

Team Green Guardians researched the local plants that will be planted at our refurbished Learning Garden to increase biodiversity, attract pollinators and provide habitat to local wildlife.

EdtBoth teams did an amazing job, and Team Zero Waste won the Team Work Award - Runners Up prize at the Celebration Event held at Jacobs on the 28th of June. More than 70 teams from the SE region competed in this event. We are very proud of our students and can’t wait to see their projects come to life.
