Harris Success in New League Table of Academy Trusts
The Department for Education has published a table comparing the performance of multi-academy trusts, including the Harris Federation.
We are pleased to say that Harris performed exceptionally well at primary and at secondary.
At primary, the table was based on the Key Stage 2 tests from last summer. Children at Harris did very well. Out of 95 multi-academy trusts included in the research, Harris was one of only six where the progress of children was ‘significantly above average’ in all three areas that are tested: reading, writing and maths.
At secondary level, the Department for Education used a new measure called Progress 8, which calculates the progress made by students in eight key subjects. The Harris score was third highest on the list, out of 47 multi-academy trusts included in the research.
Credit for these results goes to the pupils at Harris schools, their teachers and of course all parents who have encouraged and supported their children so well. Congratulations to everybody involved.
