A ‘Tree’mendous Trip to Hall Place for Year 1

Winter Trees (1)A real highlight of this week has been seeing the Year 1's enjoyment of the school trip to Hall Place, where they went for a 'winter tree trail’.

The children explored the trees in the grounds, did some tree rubbings and found some bat and bird boxes. We even managed to find a tree we could walk inside of.

In the afternoon we went looking for materials and spent time talking about what items in the gardens were made of.

This was not only an opportunity to see a beautiful historical building, but also a chance to explore exquisite and huge gardens full of strange plants and ginormous trees. These experiences couldn’t happen without the help of parent volunteers, nor without the planning of our Head of Year 1, Ms Foley.

The children had such a lovely time and the weather meant they could really spend time outside as well.
