Inter-Hub Sports Competition - Latest Results

NetballLatest results from our inter-hub sports competition. Each week different year groups will compete against other hubs in a variety of different sports.

The inter-hub competitions will run every Monday from 3 - 4.15/4.30pm.


14th March 2022

Badminton - Year 7 and 8 girls

Today for the inter-hub competition we had Year 7 and Year 8 girls' badminton. There were lots of intense matches and good talent on show. It was great to see the girls applied the things they had learnt from their PE lessons into the competition. Today's winners were Active Science. Player of the week: Temi A

Football - Year 9 boys

Today we had a very close and competitive game between the Year 9s. There was some amazing football on display and eagerness to win for their hubs. Congratulations to both Creative Voice and World Studies who played out an amazing 5-5 draw. Player of the week: Jesse T

Football - Year 7 and 8 boys

It was amazing to see the amount of Year 7 and 8 boys who turned up to represent their hub in this week's boys' football. All hubs put on a great display of character and willingness to win and beat the others. The football on show was amazing and there are two specific individuals we would like to shout out. Congratulations to Creative Voice in Year 7, and World Studies and Creative Voice in Year 8 tied.

Netball - Year 8 girls

Brilliant turnout for the Year 8 girls today with lots of talent on show. All the girls showed great character and resilience in the cold weather. Congratulations to Enterprise who came out on top this week!

Football - Year 9 boys

The Year 9s played a very competitive match between Creative Voice and World Studies/Enterprise. The game resulted in a 5-3 win for World Studies/Enterprise. It was so good to see some of the amazing football on display. Player of the week: Bradley (Creative Voice).

Netball - Year 9 and 10 girls

Year 9 and Year 10 competed in what was a fantastic game of netball. The enthusiasm and will to win was very impressive. It was so amazing to see the girls show great leadership and take control of their play. Player of the week: Jay (Creative Voice)

Football - Year 7 & 8 girls

Amazing turnout for Year 7 and 8 girls football today. Lots of talent on show and some unbelievable moments! It was great to see everyone playing with a smile, while still being very competitive. Congratulations to Enterprise and Creative Voice who came out on top.

Football - Year 10 boys

The last inter-hub competition of the first term, and it finished with a bang! The football displayed by the Year 10s was outstanding and the excitement surrounding the competition was amazing. A huge congratulations to both Active Science and Creative Voice for winning the competition and nine points each. Next up for the boys after half term is badminton. After a week off from the inter-hub competition, we were back with Year 10 girls badminton. The girls were amazing to watch. Every single match was extremely close. Active Science and World Studies came out on top this week with 10 points each! Next up for the girls after the half-term is football. Hope you all have a lovely half-term. Badminton - Year 9 girls

On today's menu for the inter-hub competition was Year 9 Girls' Badminton. It was a joy to watch and a great laugh. Active Science came out on top again this week. Can the Active Science Year 10 girls keep this streak going? Find out next week! Player of the week: Oliwia.

Football - Year 9 boys

Once again there was some unbelievable moments from the Year 9 inter-hub competition. This week was one of the most exciting competitions we’ve had at inter-hub so far. This was due to us having two hubs who drew level with the greatest number of points, World Studies and Creative Voice. So a massive congratulations to those who represented their hubs. Player of the week: Kaine (Creative Voice).

Firstly, I would like to congratulate every student who volunteered to represent their hub after school in our very first inter-hub competition.

Badminton - Year 7 girls

What an eventful start to the girl’s badminton Inter-hub competition! There was plenty of talent on show and a lot of thrilling matches to watch. Enterprise came out on top this week with 15 points, winning 5 out of 5. Can the Year 8 girls keep the momentum going? Find out next week! 

Football - Year 7 boys

It was such an amazing experience to see to some of the unbelievable talents we have at HGA. Creative Voices had an amazing tournament where they won all their matches without even conceding a goal which was amazing. Everyone else should courage, determination and resilience to not giving up and playing to their best ability until the end.

How to sign up

Each week different year groups will compete against other hubs in a variety of different sports. The inter-hub competitions will run every Monday from 3 - 4.15/4.30pm.

Click HERE to sign up on the student drive using MS Forms.

There will be spaces for ten participants from each hub per sporting activity, with places awarded on a 'first come first served' basis. This will mean it will be the first to sign up who will be selected. The fixtures and results will be published on Harris news each week.

The sign-up Form will close on Wednesday 5pm and a team sheet will be put up on display (located by the lockers) where students who have been selected will need to tick their name off to confirm they are playing before Thursday 3pm. An email will then be sent to parents/ guardians of those participating.
