New Mural Unveiled in Our Primary School
We are delighted to reveal our new school mural which has been taking shape in the Key Stage 2 playground in recent weeks.
The artist ATMA has been working with staff and students to put together a piece of work that will not only look incredible but also that speaks to the motivational, aspirational belief that learning changes lives.
You can watch a film of the new mural taking shape below!
ATMA, pictured below, began by blocking out the exact shape and space of his work on the wall in pencil. This allowed him to see the work in the space and make sure that everything he wanted to include is given prominence.
Next he blocked in the main colours across the wall to gain a clear picture of how these will complement each other.
As the students came out into their play and lunch times, they had the opportunity to meet with ATMA and talk about the design. On days when the weather didn't allow ATMA to work, it’s been lovely to have him visit classes and discuss what he does in more detail.
Here's what the final mural looks like. We love it!
