HGA Students Excel in Online Learning

HG098We are very proud that students at HGA were among best students across the whole Harris Federation in terms of how they engaged with online learning while they had to study remotely.

Our students were consistently at the top in terms of attendance at online lessons.

During our period of remote learning we introduced a special reward scheme, with students able to earn remote “tickets” for engaging in online learning. Students could earn tickets for their engagement in online lessons, fantastic pieces of work, and excellent effort, for example.

They were then entered into a prize draw at the end of the school closures, with a personalised Harris Garrard iPad up for grabs in every year group!

There were quite literally hundreds of tickets by the end, as our students were unbelievably brilliant in the face of uncertainty and showed real resilience and dedication to their learning. The lucky winners were:

  • Year 7:  Cheyenne
  • Year 8: Oluwaseun
  • Year 9: Sanni
  • Year 10: Manjinder
  • Year 11: Ana-Maria
  • Sixth Form: Carlis

All the staff at Harris Garrard would like to thank our students for their work in the period of school closure.
