Pastoral and Safeguarding Team Add to Their Skills
The Pastoral and Safeguarding Team at Harris Garrard Academy is working hard behind the scenes to improve and refresh their knowledge, so they can provide even more support to students and families when schools reopen.
They've been taking courses to improve their knowldege and skills in areas such as safeguarding young people, bereavement, emotion coaching, County Lines awareness, supporting young people, online safety, supporting young people with anxiety, and many more areas.
"The courses have been good refreshers and will enable us to support our students with their individual needs," says Lisa Dyer.
Julie Mcmahon added: "We are working hard at home and as a team we are embracing the time to add to our skills, which will benefit children and families across the whole school."
Kim Rigby said that "the courses are aspirational and meaningful to enable me to support our students on their return".
If you need support, advice or assistance in the meantime, please contact the school or student services direct via studentservices@harrisgarrard.org.uk, and we will be available to help you.
