Wellbeing Ambassadors Scheme Launched to Support Mental Health
Six of our secondary students are now official Wellbeing Ambassadors for the secondary phase at Harris Garrard Academy. All six have completed three hours of training with Pascale Berthellet (pictured), Public Health Advisor for Children and Young People in Bexley.
We are so pleased with our new campaign to raise mental health awareness and the students will be wearing their 'Be in You Mate's Corner' badges with pride. Our ambassadors will be working hard with Mrs McMahon, Deputy Safeguarding, to make positive changes for wellbeing within the school.
We will recognise the ambassadors' training and their prestigious award during assemblies and will have regular meetings to take forward an action plan to start our work. We are in touch with other Bexley schools that have started this process and look forward to working in partnership with them too.
"HGA is very proud of our Wellbeing Ambassadors and their dedication and commitment to making a difference," said Ms McMahon. "We will officially launch on 6 February 2020 in line with the National campaign Time to Talk."
