35km Hike Along the North Downs Way
Eleven students, three teachers, pitching up a tent, 35km of hiking and a couple of blisters along the way... the Year 12 Duke of Edinburgh group have now successfully completed the Bronze section of the award.
Map reading skills were put to the test to ensure that all the students reached the end point at the correct time. Special thanks need to be given to Ms Brader and Ms Lillington for accompanying our students on their expedition.
The Bronze Expedition, with the aim of raising awareness of mental health, followed the route of medieval pilgrims along the North Downs Way. The hike started in the picturesque village of Knockholt and ended at Cuxton Marina.
The hike really brought the Year 12 together and provided them with life long memories. Hopefully some of them will move onto Silver!
