Character Day - Special Workshops, Activities and Visits
The first of our Character Days took place on Tuesday 9 October, with every year in the school taking part.
On Character Days, the normal timetable is suspend for one day so that students can take part in activities, experiences and excursions that complement the academic curriculum and foster the development of character and 'cultural capital'.
In our Early Years stage, for example, children explored where their families come from, while Year 6 took part in activities that explored what we mean by 'human rights'. Year 8 had a police safety day while Year 9 went to the Science Museum (pictured below). In the Sixth Form, for example, Year 12 looked at the topic of consent and healthy relationships.
